US Traffice receiver - will it work in EU ?

I have a receiver with limited usability due to the scarcity of stations. I was thinking of shipping it off to a friend in Germany - will a unit purchased here work over there?

I would then go back to the bluetooth phone traffic service here. - if I have to pay for service, I would rather pay for a service that works.

The NA receiver is not compatible with European frequencies and vice versa. Sorry.

I have recently bought and used the TT GO 930 in Germany and was very impressed. The TMC antenna worked very well.

I brought the units back to Toronto. Navigation is quite precise, but I learnt that I need a different antenna to use real-time traffic in North America.

I have since received an antenna, which shows the traffic bar on the right side of the screen as well as a green dot on top of the bar, which suggests to me that the antenna is working. However, I have yet to see any warnings of traffic situations. Therefore I am trying to find out what FM frequency to use in the Greater Toronto area.

Also I found the Advanced Lane feature very helpful in Germany. This feature doesn't seem to work in my area.

Overall, it appears as if you get the best out of the 930 when traveling in Europe; over there all the features seem to work....some of them better than here in Canada................
