updating to latest map

hello just got my tt720. i was going to take advantage of the map guarantee but the download keeps timing out. I disabled norton, and quit other programs too...TT just swamped right now?

Also, I was playing with a 920 in the store and noticed it had a bit more POI than mine (understandable since its a newer model) is there a way to update my maps / POIS to the 920 model? Or will this happen when i finally get the "latest map guarantee to download?"

I'm new to this GPS thing myself and have had quite a bit of trouble getting updates due to what I would accept as TomTom's servers being swamped since personal GPS units seemed to be all the rage this Christmas (it was the same for Xbox Live!).

Although I do find their utility called Home the application used to update and maintain your TomTom GPS unit to be a bit buggy. It could just be my computer (or MS Windows) though, I tried to remove Home so I could reinstall it but I couldn't do either and then it just started to work again and I could update??

So the moral of my story is who knows what is going on, give updating a couple of tries and you may get it to work as it should. Once this Christmas rush is over and the new Home 2 bugs are worked out it may all work like a charm but for now it can be a little frustrating.
