When I started the update yesterday it said three hours, when I went to bed four hours later it said 10 hours remaining. When I awoke this AM it said 11 hours remaining, WT_? Every other thing on my computer including surfing other sites is as fast as usual (I did a speed test too). It's only the Tom Tom that acts like it's on a 300 BAUD modem.

It's only downloading to the computer at this point and is at 98% with 4 hours remaining. I envy those of you complaining about a couple of hours.

When I try to check to see if I have the latest version of Mydrive it doesn't work. Another helpful hint from Tom Tom is to check the settings on my computer but does not say what the settings should be; Just like dealing with city hall.

Help?

You could try to change the default port from 4000 to 5000 in the Settings of MyDrive and see if that helps.

It's finally updated after about 17 hours. I changed the port to 5000 as you suggested. How do I find out if that did any good other than waiting for another update?

Thank you

The problem when TomTom releases a map is that people worldwide understandably go for the download within short order. And TT's map servers are, to be kind, 'crappy' in that they just aren't built for such a demand.

Often, waiting a few days or so after a release will result in much faster transfers.....
