are they worth the 99.00 to upgrade? i just bought my go 730 and there is a map upgrade available. what does the upgraded maps have that the preloaded maps dont?

If you "just "(within a month,some are a year) bought it you are allowed one free map upgrade.

Check and see what map version you have Touch screen in the lower right corner, and when small a icon comes up showing you application version, press it and you map version and device infor should come up.

The maps that come on you unit are the same as those you can purchase, but it may be one or two versions earlier. The current NA map is 720.xxxxx.

You will normally have 30 days to upgrade, but some units have come with a coupon that says one year. (but you will have to call TT support to get anything over 30 days honored and downloaded).

There is a rumor that there may be a 725 version coming, but no date on that. Keep your eye on the TT webpage to see if a newer one comes out during the next 30 days.

725 ?? I'd think a jump to V8 maps utilizing V8 Navcore would be the next upgrade.

I'm wondering what is going to happen to those of us who have the Eclipse unit once the new maps for it are released, considering we finally got a software update, and the latest maps currently available for it are the 665.xxxx maps... Just a little behind...

Newer maps existed when I bought the unit, but weren't compatible with the unit due to the horrible support his unit seems to get.
