Hello everybody.
In The Netherlands there are a couple the HD Traffic models.
HD stands for High Defenition. Vodafone triangulates the position of the Vodafone sim users and calculates the speed at which the simcard is travelling at any time. This information is transmitted back to TomTom users (ever 3 minuets). This allows you to have a real-time traffic situation update and calculate delays not only in kimometers (as with the TMC) but in minutes. It also locates the (almost) exact location of the traffic jam, its beggining and its end.
Well, enough said.
I own a TomTom XL Europe HD traffic. Tomtom have recently released the GO 730 Traffic. It has a better interface, new menu graphics, and new options like:
* IQ Routes™ technology
* Advanced Lane Guidance
As the core of the 2 machines is almost identical, is there a way to uplaod the GO 730 Traffic onto my XL Europe Traffic? How safe/reliable is it?
thanks for your feedback.
