up dated latest US/Canada?Mexico map

I want to plan a route different from what Tom has set. I have the XXL 540.
 
When the route is established by the unit and the screen appears where the route is drawn, there is a button saying 'options'. There you can choose alternate and zoom in to select the road you want.
