TTXL problems

ok, firstly i had a TTXL with uk & I on. backed it up and tried to put W europe on it from another TT one.
this wasn't happening, so i uninstalled the WE map............into the back-up folder DOH!
now the back up doesn't work.
so now i'm panicking, and so far the TTXL has WE on it, and TThome recognises it, plans routes etc, however when i unplug the unit.............no maps found.

sys info says

CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

but

Installed Items = map/Western_Europe 660.1256

any help please

You can't share maps between devices.

both my TT one's have the same WE map on, one is a V2 the other a V3.

Newer applications may have trouble finding and using older maps and the 660 is a very old map.

Maps are locked to a serial number. On the device that the map was originally purchased for, you should be able to get things working just by copying the map back where it originally was.

The device you attempted to transfer the map to will not read it since it's serial-number locked. You'd have to restore the backup. If you have no backup then you're out of luck, you could repurchase the map via Tomtom HOME.
