TT Voices Route 279 as Two Hundred and Seventy Nine! Why?

Instead of saying "Route two seventy nine" the voices say "Route two hundred and seventy nine".

It does this for all numbers, I just used 279 as an example.

I mean come on, no one talks that way! I'm sure that wouldn't be very difficult to program.

Does this bug anyone else?

because it's understood by EVERYONE.

Not everyone says "eighty two seventy nine" or "eight two seven nine" or "eighty two seven nine" or "eight thousand two seventy nine"

basically, it's for clarity. (esp. for those whose English isn't their first language)

TomTom really have a problem with Americans (that's an European company).
Some even complained about 'yards' (they preferred 'feet').
Meters and km suit me fine, thanks.
