TT One XL vs TT Go 720

So today I went to Circuit City/Best Buy and I own a TT One XL.

I started messing with the Go 720 and found something very interesting, maybe its just the map version.

I have the 6.75 map version and maybe thats the difference but whenever i need a POI the 720 version already has it in the US maps but for the ONE XL I had to install custom POI to find those.

Why? Why is it like that? Should I buy the 720 maps and install it on the One XL, would that be better???

The map version is different but also the type of map. The ONE XL has the US/Canada map whereas the 720 has the North America map.

The difference between the US/Canada vs. North America (among other things) are the POI's. The North America maps have more categories, and so more POI's.

If you are happy with downloading the custom POI's, then I would just pass purchasing the version 7 map updates. You'll save money

Yea i could save money and I am!

but out of curiosity, could I buy the maps for the Go 720, install them on an SD card and use them on my One XL ed 3?

I personally have not tried that but it should work as long as you have at least a 2GB SD card to fit the map in.
