Not sure why but my TT one will not turn on unless I have an external power source connected. Anyone seen this? And my battery is fully charged!

Need more details...

Are you getting any visual or audible clues that the unit is attempting to start up while it is off the charger?

How old is the unit? I had to return my One v2 to TomTom for a battery replacement after only a very few months of irregular usage. The battery died VERY QUICKLY. Note... When on a charger, the graphic of the battery charge level is not entirely reliable. You should not assume that the battery is fully charged on the basis of that indicator.

Have you attempted a reset. I have noted that the unit will occasionally latch up the start-up process until a reset is performed.

I have done a soft reset and so far so good. The unit is only 6 months old and already my 3rd return for problems. Not sure if I wanna do a 4th. Maybe I'm getting every bad unit out there so everyone else get good ones.

Thanks Again

OK spoke too soon I guess. I have found that I can turn on the unit if the SD card is not inserted. But if the SD card is in the machine I get no power. I have two cards and they both do the same thing.
Anyone seen this before?

Does sound like it needs a reset:

-turn TT on with full battery
-get out sd card
-push reset button at least 15 seconds (hairpin, paperclip)
-push on/off button at least 5 seconds
-put in sd card again

normally problem should be solved now.
