Hi all,
This forum really provides lot's of useful info from knowledgeable ppl, so let me plz share my problem with you.... This problem drives me crazy....
I have a TT One New Edition (aka v2). The package i bought contained SD card with a regional map on it (Benelux in my case; 256MB). I now would like to use a bigger memory card, so i bought a 4 GB SDHC card, class 6 (Adata). I have read in various posts that such card (=SDHC) should work on a TT NE, PROVIDED the bootloader has been upgraded to at least v5.5022.
OK, so far so good. I used the original SD card to upgrade the bootloader to v 5.5022. Unfortunately, my new 4GB card was not recognized (in contrast to experiences of other ppl that did the same BL upgrade). The screen of the TT showed a TT device with a memory card going out, which then was covered by a big red cross. I concluded that the card was not recognized as being a propper card. Strange considering experiences of others, but anyways...
Next thing i did was upgrade the BL to the latest version, i.e. v5.5122, just to be sure. However, again, my TT did not boot up... Remarkably, now it 'hangs' at the stage just before the 'yellow bar' appears, that normally indicates loading of the NavCore SW. The screen of the TT now shows a blinking SD card left-bottom. And that's all....
Unfortunately, same behaviour with another SDHC card (8GB) from Sandisk...
Conclusion: in contrast to what many other ppl did find, my TT NE cannot handle a SDHC card. Why i don't know....
But the real strange thing is that when i load the diagnostics screen on my TT (by pressing the on-button for 5 sec), the TT nicely shows the correct size of either SDHC card...
See below for screenshot of the display with the 8GB SDHC card loaded.
So my actual question is:
- how is it possible the TT correctly recognizes both SDHC cards, but it refuses to 'boot' from such card???
Any insights/tips/solutions are much appreciated!
& thanks for reading!

PS:
- TT works fine with (original) SD card
- flash erase tool nor reset (15 sec paperclip) do have an effect on this problem
- TT loaded with SDHC card is recognized by PC, but content of card cannot be accessed (in contrast to original SD card). WinXP SP3 wants to format SDHC cards, but if I press OK it will fail.
- both SDHS cards work fine using a card reader
