So I just got the TT One LE for Xmas, so the girlfriend and I decide to test it out real quick....

We turn it on and drive for a bit...in the middle of one of our short trips, she accidentally turns the unit off. About 5-10 seconds later, she turns it back on, and lo and behold, since then, it has been unable to acquire a satellite signal. The screen (which showed up to 7 satellites prior...) is showing nothing at all.

Went to the satellite configure screen, but its telling me that there's poor satellite reception and asks me if I'm inside a building.

Anyone hear of this before? Any way to re-tool the settings at all?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Have you hooked it up to TomTom Home to check for latest firmware and GPS QuickFix updates?

I had VERY slow satellite lock times when first upgraded to version 7.XXX, but now with the latest 7.162 it's been working great.

As Trey recommends, you should check for updates via TomTom Home (software you download to your PC) for any needed updates. The GPS quickfix updates are fairly frequent... at least once per week. The Geo-synchronous satellites drift around some and this update corrects any error.

HTH.

Hook it up to the computer and get the latest update from the Tomtom Home application and you should be all set. For some reason the shipping firmware on the LE's sucks. Once you get it upgraded you should be all set.
