I used home 2.6 to update device but shortly after that it just freezes on the start up (hand screen). As it is such a common problem I followed the instructions on the support site to the tee.

Yet I still have the same issue of it not starting and I use to be able to operate my one in Home and back it up but now that won't even work.

Used clear flash at least dozen times and formatted and wasted bandwidth updating one via home a bunch of times....what else can I try??

Under a years worth of use and can't get her up an running again.

followed all the instructions ... still same issue. bogged on startup

tried the help line here in South africa....help line take to dealer.... take to dealer ....dealer can't fix tells me to call the help line. ummmm tried that

When connected to the computer, is it recognized as an external drive? If so, use Explorer to make a complete backup of the unit's contents. Now, delete all the loose files in the root of the unit, no Folders or their contents.

Start Home. It should see an application is missing and offer to dl and install. Do it.

Disconnect the unit properly from the computer using Home's Device-->Disconnect and start the unit up. any better?

Make the Explorer backup. Reformat the internal drive. Restore the backup using Explorer.

ARG!!! really beginning to hate this thing.

Ok did the explorer back up story... same stalled on start up

then tried to delete all loose files and update via home. Disconnected correctly then re-connected and ran clear flash.

Now it gets past the hand screen but goes to a white screen with a light blue bar at the bottom.

If you have the backup, try reformatting the internal drive and then restoring the backup using Explorer.

steps I take
1.) back up
2.) format unit
3.) restore
4.) load home & remove application
5.) update
6.) restart and run clear flash
7.) reboot and stall on blueish white screen with blue bar at bottom.

she goes no further.

If it is less than a year old, it is still under warranty. Call SA support again and say you want the item repaired.
