TT 920 & Jukebox...where art thou.....

Hi,

After mastering a number of TT920's features over the last 3 month and enjoying this wonderful piece of technology I tried to use Jukebox this weeek. Off on a longish trip this week end so want to enjoy the greater capacity of SD card (16GB) to take iTunes library.

When I go to Muisc & Media I only have two icons active, document reader and photo library. The other two icons, Jukebox and iPhone are not highlighted (no colour, just grey) and do not respond to a double click.

I have the latest 8.302 software loaded.

Any suggestions please.

Do you have any files (must be .mp3s) residing on either your sdhc card (if you have one) or internal storage? And, if you do, are the files in a folder called mp3? (all lower case, no quotes).

Thanks for your quick response.

Copied a couple of iTune files into mp3 folder in internal storage. Thanks to your question I checked the file extn and found they are MPEGP-4 Audio Files. I assumed that iTune files were mp3. Beware of the assumption!!!

I'll give it a go using a separate program to write them across as mp3.

Unfortunately hasn't worked. Copied mp3 extn file across using Explorer, logged out of HOME and rebooted TT, got back into HOME, Jutebox icon still not active??

Perplexed?? There must be something I haven't activated. Tried changing from FM to local speaker and back again. No change! Do I backup and reload 8.302??

Try a pin reset on your unit. If that doesn't work, try the Clear Flash tool found here and, if still not working, you may wish to try to restore to factory defaults. You will lose all your custom settings but it is worth a try.

To be sure............the mp3 file IS in a folder called mp3?

Another thought.....create the mp3 folder on the internal unit. Put the file in the folder. If the TT has the icon activated now, then the issue is with the card. Is it a sdhc card? Is it high quality?

Try putting your music on a SD card and see if that works.

If you are trying to access the Jukebox icon from the "Operate My Go" option on Home, it won't work. That feature is not active via Home.
