Trying to update my tomtom One

Can anyone help?

I am trying to update my tomtom One 3rd Edition - plugged it all, ran everything on my pc, but can only get so far before i get a notification of 'fail', now when I turn on my tomtom, it says 'no maps' so everything has been wiped off!! arrgghhhh..any ideas?

Do you have a backup by any chance?

When connected to Home, Manage my Device (2nd page, purple folder)-->Items on Device-->maps, what does it say?

How about Items on Computer-->maps, what does that show?

when I go the the purple folder it says there is a map on my device etc, but if I turn my device on, it says no map

Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the srum sounds unless your model has a dedicated reset hole .........

And if that doesn't cure it, the "Clear Flash" routine may do it....
