hi guys, this is my first post, so please be gentle with me ! hope this is a easy one for you all. i have downloaded version 8.395 of tt truck from this site, will it work on my go940 ? and if so, is it easy to install ? thanks guys

From what site, tomtomforums?

That application is meant for a tomtom model with specific hardware and a specific work map. Don't think it'll run on your unit.

As you have a 940 put the Fiat Blue Me Navcore on it and you will get all the truck related options as if by magic The Navcore is available straight from the server at TomTom by clicking The Blue Me Version

A quick word of caution before you install this, in the root of the download there is a file named "system" which is just under 1 MB in size, deselect this prior to extracting the files to the device or MicroSD card, if you don't do this your bootloader will get incremented which isn't possible to undo, the bootloader uplift isn't needed to get this working on a 940.

For more information on this click Here which also contains a You Tube video link you might be interested in but please read the whole thread BEFORE you jump in and mess up your 940 - Mike

yeah, had this up and running on my 940, worked fine the only problem i had with it, is the maps does'nt know where any of the bridges are, as it was still sending me down roads with low bridges, would i need a version of truck maps to make it work properly ?

That's the 64 Pound question.

The map is available from TomTom but supposedly only for the proper devices.

When Mikealder checks in again, he may have options for you................

Have no idea what the .dlc extension means. Where did you get the map? From TomTom? If not, please read the announcement at the top of every forum ................

Tom Tom truck is available on sd card I use it with my 930t routes round bridges wieght limits etc, never failed me yet.

Would be interested to know if it would work on any of the later models
