TomTom GO720
I have had my TomTomGO720 for a few weeks now. One feature I can't seem to figure out is to play music other than the samples already loaded on the unit. I have transfered mp3's to the unit in the mp3 folder but they do not show up after download. I have also tried to transfer the mp3's to the SD card (where I prefer to store them)...still nothing. What am I doing wrong?

As gatorguy indicated the most common cause of your problem is incorrect file extensions. It took me a while when I first got my unit to realize that my ipod files would not play (except those in mp3 format). Let us know is this solved the problem or at least identified what it was.

I moved this thread from new members to the 720 section. I thought there might be more answers from people in this area since some rarely look in the new members section.

That was my problem. Incorrect file extention. Thanks for the help. Here is another question. Can I load mp3's to my sd card and have jukebox recognize the songs or do all the songs have to be loaded directly on the TomTom? If so how do I do it?

Put a folder named "mp3" all lower case without the "") into the root of the memory card then, put all your mp3 files/ album folders into the mp3 folder, insert the card and boot the device, it will find all the tracks - Mike
