Trip length calc

My TomTom ONE adds an hour to the trip length calculation on some trips. There doesn't seem to be an absolute pattern, but it appears to add the hour to trips over two hours in length.

I've done the updates, thinking that might jog it, but still have the discrepancy. I've compared trip length both to online calculators and to the actual driving time. I don't have anything built in to add time for breaks. It just adds an hour to some trips.

Not that I mind getting there early, but... ;-)

TomTom is notorious for overstating the ETA of routes when you first start out. As you are actually driving to the destination, the ETA becomes revised to more realistic times. The situation is that TT uses default speeds for the roads you are travelling on and, realistically, the user often is really driving faster than default speeds.

The use of IQ routing with version 8 maps and n8 application firmware and IQ2 routing (not just day of week for trip planning but time of day) with firmware 8.3 and map 8.15 allows for more exact eta's.
