GO 6000 & GOLIVE 1005
Hi, all, I want to transfer my Live Services/Speed Cameras from my old TomTom to my newer device - as well as my POIs. I cannot seem to do this and have been waiting for an agent for over 6 hours on their Chat box, but no one connects with me to assist. Is there a way I can do this myself, please? I don't want to throw away 6 months of Live Services/Speed camera subscription by having to pay again to install on my new device. I cannot edit the POIs on my 'new' TomTom - the GO 6000 - so I cannot transfer them from my PC, which has all of my POIs from my older GO LIVE 1005. The reason I am trying to transfer is because the battery in my 1005 won't keep a charge, so I am using the GO 6000 now. Please help someone, this has been going on for days now and it's impossible to get in touch with anyone from TomTom directly to transfer my subscription to another device - and I cannot afford a premium rate phone number right now so it's impossible to talk with anyone.

Hi

Subscriptions taken out for one GPS cannot be transferred to another GPS.

Only Tomtom customer service can add the service to your GO 6000

GO 1005 poi cannot be copied to your GO 6000, what you can do is create an OV2 file of your GO 1005 poi then add them to the GO 6000 with Mydrive.

The GO 6000 (2013) is already a very old GPS.

Hi, thank you for your detailed and fast response. This is very unfortunate, because it's seemingly impossible to get through to an actual TomTom agent for them to assist me with my subscription. I have made an OV2 file from my older device, and it's already in my PC. The GO 6000 I have is not as old as that, but it was my wife's and almost unused, hence my swap. I have to keep hoping that customer service finally rrads and does something about the ticket I raised, since I am still waiting for an agent to log onto their 'chat' - or no-chat, as it should be described!

My drive doesn't want to 'talk' with my GO 6000 and so the POIs remain sitting in my computer for now

I can get mydrive to import a file to my pc from my old TomTom, but it will not connect to my later device to install them into its memory. I cannot even ' EDIT' MyPlaces in the newer device as it is currently blanked out for some reason? Do I need to activate/pay for Live Services to do this, do yopu believe? The one I am trying to transfer from old to new devices. Still no agent on their chat - it's only been 24 hours and counting!!

You cannot transfer a file from your old device to the new device.
you must first create an OV 2 file from the old device on your computer to transfer it to the new one via Mydrive.

Hi, I have done that, but my new device will not download the OV2 file from my PC. The 'EDIT' button on my new device appears blanked out/unnacessible for some reason - so I cannot put in a new folderr called Favourites. Really unsure why none of this is working for me? Do I need a Live Services subscription for it to function properly?

Just to be 1000% clear -- does MyDrive show your GO 6000 as connected? I'm unclear what you mean by 'doesn't want to 'talk''.
