Transfer Maps

okay, here is my question. I have two tomtom ones. One is brand new, and one is about 1.5 years old. I wanna know if i can copy maps from the newer one, and put it on an SD card and load it on the older ones.

Maps are device specific to prevent copying/pirating, so I believe this would not be possible.

This is correct. It won't work. If it did work, why would anyone buy their map from Tom Tom?
