Im going to explain to you my problems with TomTom traffic for the tomtom 730, When I try to get traffic on my TomTom it gives me error code 1506 sometimes and other times it gives me the message saying I need a subscription, Ive been told by some people that I should have a download when I buy TomTom traffic but TomTom support says I dont I have a Razor ..V3 and T-Mobile is my phone provider and I know the phone is compatabile I looked it up in TomTom support and weather quickfix's Fuel prices all work Flawlessly and nobody in tomtom support know's how to fix this problem I talked to them 3 times a day for the last month in a half and they tell me the same thing (Reset the unit, Hard Reset, Soft Reset, 15 Second Reset, And the 30 second reset) And none of these helped at all.
And I do have the 20$ unlimitted data plan and it worked for 3 weeks and stopped. And they had me do the clear flash tool.

Can someone please help me? :)

I have had it work with a T-Mobile Razr and the T-Mobile data plan, Since you can run quickfix and weather on it mated with the unit, that is not the problem.

I assume you bought a traffic subscription, and are not able to get it to work. When you bought the subscription, did you do it through TomTom Home? If so, you would have had to have had a TomTom account (email address & password) with your unit assigned to that account.

Go to your unit, and connect it to your Razr. Under 'change preferences"/"edit TomTom Plus account" enter your TomTom account info (email account = user name, and password). If that is not set up on your device, the tomTom server will not recognize you and so not let you connect to traffic. You do not need this done for weather or quickfix, but yo do for traffic.

Well I do have a subscription and a TomTom Plus Account and I just checked everything and it is correct. So any other suggestions?

With your unit on and mated to your Razr, and being able to connect to weather, did you go to the edit your Plus account and enter your Plus accout info again? I just did that when it would not initially bring up my traffic, and as soon as i entered the password, it contacted the server, and traffic (which had been off and I had gotten a "subscription expired message") showed up on the right side and showed a delay on my active route.

Try re-entering your info on your unit. If that will not work, contact TomTom support and make sure they show an active traffic subscription on your Plus account. Note - you don't get a download - it simply connects to their server, and if it recognizes you - it should work.

That should be the only thing holding you up, as if you can run weather and the other stuff, your data services are working OK. All that other resetting should not matter, as everything else works OK.

One last thing - if everything else works, and your unit has sent your account info to their server and traffic will still not work - it may be your 930 device itself. This would be a warranty item. Insist that they RMA it, as that would be the only other reason.

i got a knew device and it does the same thing and i call tomtom every day and they dont know what the problem is

The, that goes back to maybe they don't have your traffic subscription assigned to your account, or your unit has not been set to that account while your data connection was active.

Try calling them again on ONLY that issue.
