tomtom XL problem with map!!!

after uptating my tt xl 250 and map update, i have problem with map? display on screen saying " you cannot use this map on this device, when i remove the map from the device it then has no maps at all saved? what to do???

Did you mean 350? There is no 250 model.

Make an Explorer, not Home, backup of your unit's contents. Then delete all the loose files in the root of the unit, NO folders or their contents.

Connect to Home and install the application offered. Disconnect the unit properly from Home using the Device disconnect icon and restart the unit. Connect to Home and see if another application is offered. If so, install that as well.

Now, look in Home's Tools-->Preferences-->Folders for the location on your computer where downloaded files are stored. Use Explorer to rename the download folder to downloadold.

Start Home. Connect your unit and the new map should be offered again. See if it works this time.

The XL250 is the Australian version of the XL335SE in the USA.

Yep, so I verified in another thread where the 250 is sold in NZ with just the Kiwi map.
