TomTom won't switch off

Hi, I'm new here. Brian2425.
I have a TomTom Rider2. After completing an udate a while ago, I now find I can't switch my TomTom off - or rather it automatically switches itself on again as soon as I've turned it off.
I've changed the battery saving preferences to 'Switch off when external power is lost' but again, it automatically turns itself on again.
Any help with how to permanently turn it off would be appreciated.

Have you tried a reset on the unit?

What updates had you applied?
