voice commands do not take me to a specific address, only to last main road where it tells me that I have reached my destination. the remainder of the route is still shown on the map as thin dashed lines. How can I correct this?

Depending upon our location, navigating to a **specific** address is simply an approximation. Without getting too much into the explanation, it is normal for the voice to say "You have ...." sometimes 8 or 10 houses away .. or more sometimes. If you look at the screen, the arrow to the flag (destination) continues on after the voice starts. (in my case, the unit thinks my address is 8 houses from the actual location).

Now then, if you are hearing the voice miles from where the address is, then there IS a problem.

Glad I found this as I just asked the same question. In my case, when navigation to my house, once I enter the subdivision, the TomTom will say arrived and display dashes to my actual house.

My house is still 2 streets and 2 turns and about 0.5 miles away.

Is there a setting for this?

The destination flag is correctly displayed for (and at) my house.

I just don't undertand the logic of why stopping the regular solid line, turn arrows, and voice prompts and replacing them with a dashed line.

Thanks,

Esteban

I've only had mine a few days and I noticed the same thing. It always takes me right to my condo, but it isn't like that with every destination. I had my ONE take me out to Vancouver the other day and as soon as I turned onto the final street it said I reached my destination. Naturally I pulled into the first public parking lot I could find so that I didn't pass it and end up driving around in circles because of all the one way streets. It turned out that the end location was about two more blocks up the road.

You'll get used to looking at the map when you hear the 'destination' message because you will see the checker flag is still some distance away when you hear the message.
