I currently have a TomTom 720. I like it more then i hate it and think its great. But if i wanted to upgrade to a newer model what would be a significant choice?

If you want maps of both NA and Europe, then the 920 or 930 models are what you are looking for. (essentially not that much difference between the two).

Otherwise, the only other choice would be the newly announced 740 for which details are here.

When are you getting yours dhn ???

Man the 9xx series sure is quite a price jump up. I dont really need Europes maps. I guess what im lookin for more from the 720 would be, just an overall faster device. Faster route recalculations, Advanced Lane Guidance. I guess overall just a more simple, but powerful device. Also i guess im looking for an excuse to get the latest maps without paying $120 just for them. The GO 740 looks pretty nice, but im guessing its not out yet and im assuming the price would probably be around double the 720?

Advanced Lane Guidance is available now on the 720's. with v8 maps and N8 firmware. As far as faster route calculations.... the processor of the 720 is the same as the 920.

Unless you want to switch brands of gps, you have about as good as you're going to get in the TT line right now.

wait for 740
