I am looking for a Tomtom unit that has the software and maps for a truck driver. I would also consider a unit that will take a Tomtom SD card with the TRUCK maps and software which I cam use the SD card in. Thanks Sam

I am not familiar with the TomTom models that are intended for the Trucking market, so I may be wrong.

From analogy with the consumer automobile devices, if the software and maps on your SD card came installed on the card by TomTom, you should be able to use it on another Business (trucking) unit.

However, if the maps were downloaded onto the card while installed in a GPS, you will not be able to use them. Downloaded maps are keyed to the specific unit onto which they were downloaded, and will not work on another unit.

Tomtom truck SD card

Can anyone please tell me if a genuine Tomton SD card with truck software on it will work if I put it in a Tomtom 920T? Any advice on what other models the card would work on? Thanks Sam

I believe that people have used Truck cars in a Gox20 in the past, but I can't DEFINITELY confirm whether they would still work in a Go920 now.
In other situations, TT have been known to make their software or maps more clever at detecting the model it is being used on.
