tomtom toyota, have activation key but no maps

hey everyone

this is my first post.
i have a tomtom toyota from a toyota hiace van in australia

it came with an sd card preloaded with v6.7 australian maps.

i was getting the no maps found error so i formated the sd card and re-installed all the application files.

i have the activation code for the maps but i dont have the maps.
i cant download the maps off tomtom home because it says free update period has expired.

can i download v6.7 australian maps from somewhere and use my activation code to activate them?

Don't suppose you backed up the card before formatting it (and why would you do that anyway???)

The only legitimate place to get maps is from TomTom for personal nav devices. I suspect it must be the same with maps for built in devices in various car models. I'd check with your Toyota dealer.
