Rider V2
Like several other people on here, I've had the problem with the connector pins on the back of my Tomtom Rider v2 getting holes worn in them which is causing a) the unit not to charge and b) voice directions constantly dropping out or getting cut off.

My unit is 4 years old, so well out of warranty, so I was wondering if anyone had managed to fix this problem by eg soldering a "slide" onto the pins to make a better contact with the pins on the cradle?

It MIGHT still be worth contacting TomTom about it.... I seem to remember that there was such a row about it (as it's an obvious design fault) that they were replacing units that were well outside the guarantee period.
