TomTom One XL

I have a TomTom One XL. I was wondering what kind of mapping software was used, I know that some GPS receivers use Navteq.....what does TomTom use? Also I notice when going down the freeway that TomTom does not show every single road that crosses the freeway, while my friend's GPS that uses Navteq does show every single road and landmark, even the rivers which TomTom did not show. Other than that one issue TomTom works great...locks on the satellite quickly and always knows right where I am. Thanks in advance for your advice.

Hello and welcome!

TomTom uses Teleatlas maps.

The North America maps are more detailed than the US_and_Canada maps.
If you do a search, a member posted a thread showing the differences.
