tomtom one XL-S or not

I purchased a one XL-S. I noticed that it did not mention the streets by name. When I got home, I noticed that the login screen says One XL and the label on the bottom says one XL. The box says One XL S.

Did I get a One XL in an XL-S box?

Mine says XL, but it is definitely an XL-S. In order to hear the street names being said, you have to choose a COMPUTER voice. There is only one installed by default (I believe that is Susan). There are three others you can download via TT Home (Kate, Simon and another guy voice).

I went thru the same thoughts myself after my XL-S purchase. Now you get to find out that you won't have enough space internally on your XL-S to download another computer voice until you delete the installed one. Make it easy on yourself and get a 2GB SD card and copy all your current info onto that. Then you can add the other computer voices and see which one appeals.

You have the correct one if you have a card (SD) slot on the bottom. Just another way of indentifying the XLS.

Well turns out I didn't have street names turned on. It now works. Thanks for the help.

It is a XL-S

Has been much written here on which unit(XL or XL-S) you receive in in the box. Believe all units sold as XL-S where.
Added a 2GB card and now have 2 male and female computer voices.
