hi,does anyone no how you open up a tomtom one v4 so i can change the battery.....

Does your device use the Easy Port mount which looks like a ring that clips to the outside edge of the speaker? - Mike

Mike, I know there are a million One models and a million version models of One but here's a thread you created of the various One versions with picutes.

Would it be the same One (v4)?

The best I can come up with at the moment for this one is This - I appreciate its a different device but its from the same time frame and has the same mount design, if the two screws are not under the label don't go any further, simply post back and I will get hold of the same device you have and take it to bits with pictures, a few mates down the pub have these PND's so a quick lesson in whats inside one always generates interest!

Only last Saturday I had a Go-910 in bits all over the bar while swapping out the battery for a new one, device working a treat ever since - Mike

theres one thing that looks a bit dodgy the screen ribbon to the main board how do i remove it does it pull up looks a bit iffy

Both ends of the retainer bar need to be lifted up slightly to release the ribbon cable, only raise it to 45 degrees as it doesn't need much, take care though if this socket or retainer bar break the screen won't work correctly afterwards - Mike
