A little confused on the TomTom One. I understand there is a 3rd edition.
What is the postive/negative of this 3rd edition. I think this version
does NOT have a media card slot?? Sounds like a bad thing??

Thanks
Ken

the ONE 130S is the most current model of that line. the ONE 3rd came a generation before the 130S. i wouldn't go back any further than that, media card slot or not.

You're correct about the lack of a card slot. The ONE 3rd appears to be an extremely "introductory model" GPS. It only has a non-expandable 1 GB memory, of which the USA & Canada maps eat ~780MB (UK & other map sizes vary, obviously). This doesn't leave much room for voices & POI add-ons.

If all you want is a basic "Turn Left in 300 Yards" model, then this isn't a bad choice. The prices I've seen for these range between: $100 & $130, whereas the ONE-S cost about $100 more.

What is full model of ONE S ?

When you say the ONE S could you tell me the full model.
Not up on all the different units.

I want the cheapest unit with memory card slot that has a good
reliable track record.

thanks

Ken

KenK, could you elaborate on why you want the SD card slot. Depending on the reasons you have, it may not even be necessary.
