tomtom one problems

Hi,

I have a tomtom one 2nd edition that kept saying no maps found, now i have two problems, firstly the unit is stuck on hungarian language, have tried reset using pin and no joy, the second is i have formatted hard drive and used totom clear flash tool, after i sort out language problem can i just copy map back on to unit ? or do i have to use tomtom home, as tomtom home does not give option to install map from computer to device.

As long as you have a full back up taken from prior to you formatting the device simply copy the back up to the unit using Windows Explorer, if you are still having issues with the langauge open the map folder (UK&ROI, North_America or Western_Europe for example) and locate the MapSettings.cfg file, delete this single file and re-boot the unit, the device will create a new file - Mike

Thanks for reply i do not have backup as unit was given to me after friend had tried to update and made no backup, i am trying to fix for him and return to him, tomtom support have supplied map this is donloaded on to pc.

I have managed to solve problem,

Solution:
1) Format internal memory
2) Run chkdsk
3) Run clear flash tool from tomtom
4) Run tomtom home install tomtom application for one thenV4
5) Create folder UK&ROI copy map from folder to here
6) copy activation folder file to UK&ROI
7) Change language to english select uk flag
8) Install POI's
9) Back up
10)
