TomTom One is sleeping!

I've actually have had an ongoing problem w. TomTom One. When I first got it, it was a dream. But I got into trouble when I plugged it in my computer, it froze on the charging screen. I spoke to TT who advised me it was defective and I sent it back and got a new one last week. This one seemed better bc my computer recognized it when I turned it on. But yet again, I am now stuck on the charging screen. I've acutally even held down the power button to turn it on and it says the start mode: sleep. Not sure how I did this one, and I want to contact TT about it, but I cant seem to find their number and may just give up and send an email to them. And yes, I have tried resetting a number of times but still in sleep mode. I even left it on all night to kill the battery and charged it for 4 hours like it says hoping that perhaps it would reset it, but no luck here. I may just send it back and ask for a different model bc there seems to be little information on the TomTom One. If anyone has had similar problems and have been able to get it to work again. Please advise any info would be helpful or if anyone has the TT customer service # bc I have been all over the TT site and only get email but no number. I can't remember what number I called the first time.
 
I have exactly the same problem - I have turned it on and now it won't do anything, won't turn off and is not recognised by the computer when I try to attach it.

If you find out how to fix it please let me know too.

unfortunately the resetting doesnt work. and to put icing on the cake i work from 8-6 and dont get home until 730. i'm going to contact them this weekend to see if anything can be resolved. if not going to send it back and try to upgrade to a different tomtom and hopefully maybe a newer version will behave. i'm wondering if its something that i am doing or perhaps they have a bad batch of TT one and i'm having bad luck w. it. i'll update again after this weekend. thanks for the customer support number. :(
 
update

just wanted to send an update that i contacted TT support this morning. the tech had me reset it even tho i had advise it didnt work. we switched usb ports and even attempted to re-format the drive but my comp didnt allow for re-format. tech was surprised bc he had said there has never been a time that he couldnt re-format. so he talked w. another dept and now my TT one is heading out to service & repair. he has no idea what is wrong w. it kinda of like w/ the first TT that it happened to which the tech told me it was defective and to gt a replacement. so i'm sending it out w. high hopes that they can fix it and godwillingly i will be able to use. i had been looking forward in getting thinking i can truly travel w/o fear of getting lost but my dreams will have to hold off. i'll update again once i actually get it back. :eek:
 
They might replace the unit if they can't fix it. You will get it back soon.

I had to send my 910 in. I recieved a refurbished unit with not problems.
