TomTom One 3rd

Are you holding the button too long? Is this happening while docked or undocked? If undocked, is the battery charged?

Have you tried a pin reset?

I have tried both of those. It does power on and stay on with the USB cord attached. Also, when I go to update on TomTome home site I always get an error that says can not create E:data.chk

Hmmm.....

data.chk is a vital file necessary for the proper functioning of the operating system (It is NOT a recovered loose file chain as Windows thinks it is).

Try a pin rest. If that doesn't help, try the Clear flash tool found here.
