TOMTOM One 3rd New Category

Ok -- I just called Tomtom, they tell me that there is NO way I can add a custom category to this unit. I can only add favorites which limits me to 48! This can't be right!!!! I posted a thread earlier about this and got a response about changing my menu options -- I am afraid to do this and would rather not. There has got to be a way to add one custom category. I can add POIs manually through the Map Corrections icon. What if I download some new POIs and then rename the category and delete the POIs? I am not sure how to actually do this either. HELP PLEASE!

The ONE 3rd Edition doesn't have the option "Manage POI's" right out of the box but you can get it by creating a custom menu. However, you have to compromise losing the latest firmware options such as "Help Me".

If you were to download and install POI's from this forum i.e. McDonalds, it will create its own category McDonalds among the list like Resturants, Banks, Shops, etc.

Is there a specific category you want to create? We might have the POI you want to add.

POI Category

I simply want to add a category for Quilt Shops (hey, I'm a girl). Then I can go in and add the shops as I visit them etc. I thought about putting the Quilt shops into the "Ferry" category as there can't be zillions of ferry landings, but my categories to be right. Can I add the McDonald's category and rename it?
