TomTom mutes sound when audio guidance starts

Greetings!

I am using TomTom Go app in my Atoto S8 Gen2 android head unit in my car and it seems to work ok

I m having a small issue though: Let's say i open my music player to play some music from my sd card. And then i open the TomTom app.

I can hear my music in the background (which is what i want) but at the point when tomtom's audio guidance navigation starts (eg now turn left) my audio mutes.

Is there a fix for this? Or is this how android works?

My tomtom audio output is set to: system (when i set it to music, audio guidance from tomtom does not work)

Any help appreciated!

The Tomtom GO application is intended for use on the smartphone.
It is not compatible or tested with Android embedded systems.

Too bad this happens

Just to let other ppl know:

As i tested this also happens with most gps apps (eg sygic, copilot, genious maps etc). When navigation starts (with audio prompts) music/radio gets muted and wont start back after the prompts stop

The only maps that i can have BOTH navi audio guidance + My Music (sd/usb) at the same time is google maps..

So i guess it is app dependent

PS: Even though tomtom wont support it, by the help of atoto i managed to solve it
