I'm going to Mexico City next week.
I love my tomtom one, but I can't find any Mexico City Maps.

What can I do? Does anyone know if the rental cars offer some sort of GPS?

Is there any type of Map that I can use?

Unfortunately, there are no TomTom maps of Mexico. And only TomTom maps will work on your unit, so even if you find a map, it won't work.

I can't comment on whether some car rental companies offer GPS units. But, having driven in Mexico City, it sure would be nice!

car rental

Most car rentals in the US will give you a GPS for an extra charge. I don't know about Mexico.

My Mexico City trip is pushed for next week.

But after asking a few family members they laughed & said.

" ARE YOU CRAZY! YOU CAN"T DRIVE IN MEXICO CITY"

Mexico City is the world's second-biggest city.

Here is a cut & paste from a web-site
"The clogged streets have bred a cutthroat driving style that makes visitors blanch. Turn signals are routinely ignored. Turning from the far lane is accepted. Switching lanes abruptly in front of someone is not rude; it's considered practical."

I will take cabs everywhere I go.

THANKS,
Gilberto

Yes I would recommend taking cabs.
The driving there is similar when I went to visit my Family in Peru last June.
I did miss driving and using my TomTom.
