TomTom Map Update Outage?

So I just bought a TomTom 2535 m GO and tried to update the maps on my Mac.
I downloaded the TomTomSA and it shows the GPS connected and opens tomtom.com and says I have 2 updates available. but when I click on download updates, nothing happens.
My map version is 865 and it says 870 is ready for download.

So I called the Support number in US and they said that its because of the maintenance that they are performing and the rep pointed me to this webpage.

Anybody else aware of this issue? I am confused by the faq page, should be able to update my maps or not?

Did you try resetting your unit by holding the power button about 10 sections till you hear the drum sounds? Also, clear your cache.

I got the same issue with map update on my 2535 WTE. Called for support. They said it's a known SW bug with My Tomtom and will be fixed within next few weeks when they release a new version of My Tomtom.
