Tomtom Map Share (Correction)

Hello,
I bought a TomTom One XL at my local Bestbuy yesterday. When I got back, I plugged it into my Mac, and downloaded the latest version of TomTom home.

TomTom Home says I have maps 30 weeks old -- 19352 free MapShare updates available. I click on that button, and it brings me to the update page. It says nothing is available for download. I tried using latest map guarantee, and after the LONG download, there was no difference with MapShare. I tried looking in to the menus on my TomTom, and it said "I am now part of the MapShare community", but I can't download any corrections?!

Please help me!

Mapshare is not working and hasn't for weeks....for anybody. Not anything you are or are not doing.

At some point, maybe, your updates will again provide accurate numbers and, indeed, download new mapshares.

I'll guess I'll be using TomTom updates only.

About how accurate and how old is the data?

Check that you have the latest map version. Your TT may have been in the box for a while. Call TT Cust Service and ask for the latest map if you don't have v7 map. You may need to send reciept for update.

Mapshare worked today on my XL.

If your TomTom is brand new, be sure you have the latest map that is offered (not map share -- but map itself). You have 30 days to get the latest latest map free of charge (usually around $100). A new one just came out a month or so ago.

With your TT connected to your computer and TT Home running, click on the 'File' pull down in Home -- then click 'use latest map guarantee'. Next, check for updates. Home should tell you whether you're entitled to a free upgrade of maps.

YES! In the update page, I can finally download the corrections. I do have the latest map guarantee. Thank you everyone.

Massive correction update on XL-S with 710 map update for me tonight. I have not run an update in a week but I jumped from 16,xxx to 20,006 corrections. Talk about catchup!

Now it says I am up to date, but I only have 1215 corrections. BEFORE I updated, it said there were 19000 available. Why? I am US & Canada maps.

Check your settings. You might have it set to exlude certain corrections.

Now, I checked them all except "Reported by some"
