tomtom is lost

my tomtom dont have a clue where its going. Last week i put in a well known city centre location and my tomtom took me to a patch of waste land. Any ideas?

Oh yeah if it helps the location im trying to find is, world trade center, new york. i hear you cant miss it.

If you route to a 'city centre', the unit will route you to where it thinks the geographical centre of the city is, not a location with the name 'centre' in it.

The "1 World trade center" address isn't a street (might have been before 9/11, don't know).
