He'll be serving as their Group Chief Technology Officer, reuniting with several former Psion employees ( who merged with Navteq) including TomTom CEO Harold Goddijn himself. At the same time, the head of TeleAtlas, Peter van der Fluit, has left after just 90 days at the helm. TA has been unable to maintain any consistency in leadership, with no recent head at TeleAtlas lasting more than 18 months. TomTom's plans and commitment to success at TeleAtlas are unclear according to recent news reports, and sales outside of those to TomTom themselves are disappointing to say the least, as demonstrated in financial reports over the past two years. I suspect we'll see a few more changes in TomTom management before the year is done.
