Tomtom Go510 won't connect to pixel 7 pro

I have tried just about every way possible to get my TomTom GO510 to connect to my pixel 7 pro phone, without success. I get as far as connecting and a pin code displayed on my phone corresponding to the code on my TomTom. I press accept to connect and get an error ''unable to connect to the internet ,turn on personal hot spot or Bluetooth tethering''.
As far as I can see, I have tethering turned on as well as Bluetooth tethering.
Reaaly hope someone can help

Are you sure that your cellular provider allows for tethering in your plan? It sounds like you are connecting to your phone, but that the phone is not able to complete the connection to the internet. Not all providers' plans allow for tethering without some kind of monthly charge. It's a bit of a rip off for devices such as a GPS. They're more concerned that you'll start hooking up all of your notebook computers, etc.

I managed to connect with my previous phone Huawei p30 pro. I changed my phone, which i bought from Amazon not Tesco who are my provider. So it's the same sim and same contract.

Just found this ...You can tether up to your entire monthly data allowance on any Tesco Mobile deal. And you can take an unlimited data plan to tether your data signal to larger devices like laptops without worrying about data usage.

Sorted it ! You need to turn on tethering under hotspot and tethering in network and internet options. The option can only be found there and not under Bluetooth or hotspot.
Thought i would mention it as someone else might have the same problem
