TomTom Go Discover 7
Hi,

I recently purchased the TomTom Go Superior 7" model and unfortunately I can't get the live traffic and tom tom account to show when using my mobile data, bluetooth and my personal hotspot on my iphone SE as the attached pictures shows. The bluetooth connects successfully and pairs with the Tom Tom device and live traffic and Tom Tom account does not work due to no internet. I know my iphone only had one bar of signal as we live out in the country but even when there was 2 bars of signal, it was the same issue.

Everything works only when connected to my home wifi (as shown in the attached pictures) which my car picks up as I park close to the house but of course this is no good when I leave the house lol

Any ideas what I can do? Thank you.

Hi
If your home connection works, you have a problem with the internet connection or Bluetooth.

Instead of using a Bluetooth connection, use your phone's Wi-Fi hotspot.
It works much better.

Okay thank you I will try that.

So I tried just connecting the go superior by wifi via the hotspot on my iphone se but it kept showing out of range even though my mobile signal was strong and then it would try to connect by trying to obtain IP configuration or something and then eventually it comes up with an ip config failure like the attached picture shows for Joseph's iphone.

As a test, we did the same thing on my brother's iphone 12 and it connected perfectly so must be an issue with my iphone. My iphone probably too old and needs an upgrade lol
