TomTom go professional 6250
Hallo, bij deze 2 vraagjes;

*ls de TomTom go professional 6250 nog leverbaar of komt die helemaal niet meer?

*Heeft de TomTom go professional 620 wel of geen ingebouwde wifi?

Alvast bedankt, groetjes Girt.

Yes, the 620 has built-in WiFi which can be used for connectivity for traffic and cloud. It is my preferred connection on my own 620. I use my phone as a WiFi hot-spot to make the connection.

I haven't seen a 6250 for sale for a while.

One more question; is the TomTom go professional 620 not available with a map? I can't call and receive traffic information at the same time via built-in WiFi, right?
The 620 Professional comes with a map specific to truck use, and the firmware allows you to define various vehicle characteristics (size, weight, hazardous goods) that are fit to the map for routing purposes. This is a different map than the non-commercial GO 620 map.

Most phones allow simultaneous data and voice connections now. Your phone/carrier will decide, but I can make calls on my phone while simultaneously receiving traffic data and supplying it via WiFi hotspot to my GO 620.

Bedankt voor de info.
lk ga het uitproberen. De TomTom komt vandaag binnen.

Welcome Reader 142. This is an English speaking forum. I used a translator for your post.

Yes, the 30 minute inactivity shutdown was indeed added to a recent software update and not universally welcomed.

Good afternoon dhn. Thanks for the answer. I hope the developers will fix this inconvenience, as a driver of a heavy vehicle in Europe it makes me a lot of inconvenience.

If you do not mind, answer one question that also interests me:
- after resetting to factory settings, at the first start, do I need to connect my 6250 to Wifi and log in to my account? Or maybe it would be better to ignore these two points? Well, so that he first connects to the traffic data through the built-in SIM card. And only then give him Wifi and log in to your account.
Thank you.

Yes, after a factory reset, your login email/password is gone. It is a strange feature that this is the only way to change the email address! You will see that it cannot be edited, only erased by Factory Reset and re-entered. But this login information is not needed to receive traffic data. It is used for synchronization of any routes, favorites, etc.

Hello сanderson. Does it matter which country to specify when setting up the device? For example, now I am in Italy, and the device was launched for the first time after purchase in Poland. So, I am now in Italy, and if I do a factory reset, which country would be more correct to indicate, the one where I am at the moment or the one where the device was launched for the first time?
Thank you.

Country selection does not change anything to do with the device's maps or where it will operate correctly. After a factory reset, it is normal to select the country where your own language is spoken.

If, after having done a factory reset, and you are prompted so select a voice, you do not see your own language in the list of options for Voices, you can later add other voices to choose by connecting your device to your PC, running MyDrive Connect, selecting MY CONTENT, and scrolling down to MY VOICES where "Add voices to your device" is an option.

Hello. Sorry, I forgot to clarify ... How will it be correct to reset to factory settings? I read somewhere that to reset the device, it is better to reset it if you connect it via USB to a computer that will run the MyDrive program.
Although there is a video from TomTom that this is not necessary. I looked at everything I found on YouTube, but I did not find the right answer for myself.
I would appreciate a detailed answer. Thank you.

Here you go, @Reader142 :

There is perhaps some confusion for you about "Factory Reset" vs. "Restore". You only need to perform the Factory Reset which requires no connection to a PC.

Click on the top top option ("For newer devices").

Basically, it's Settings / System / Reset Device / Reset

My apologies. I really didn't ask the right question. You are right about my confusion. I need to correctly execute the "Restore" command. The navigator stopped connecting to the PC and the Internet connection through the built-in SIM card often disappears. The option "Reset to factory settings" does not help. If it doesn't make it difficult, please throw off the instruction on "Restoration".
Thank you.

The second part of this help section describes a full restore of the device firmware. However, the device not connecting to the PC is usually a different problem.

Try, then let's talk again.

I performed "Restore" according to the instructions in the video and the navigator began to connect to both the computer and the Internet through the built-in SIM card. Maybe the problems were due to the fact that I installed the latest firmware version through the MyDrive program via a USB connection to the computer...
I'll drive around for a week and see. And I will write.
Thanks for the help.
