TomTom Go 300 No Device connected

Hi

I have just connected my Go 300 to my computer for any updates. At the bottom of the screen is a little box ( No Device connected )

My System is a Dell Dimension 1100 running Ubuntu 10.10

The usual thing to try is to reset the unit. If your model does not have a dedicated reset hole, then hold the power button 10-15 seconds till you hear the drum roll sound and try connecting to the computer then.

The only way to update a TomTom is via their Home application which is available for Windoze and MAC, sadly they don't offer a version for Linux so unless you own a Windoze or MAC platform updates are out of the question - Mike
