TomTom Display Setup

Hi there,

I'm just curious how everyone has their TomTom GPS devices setup.
For example, on my device you have an advanced setting to have the GPS zoom in automatically when you are off the highway and to zoom out automatically when you are on the highway.

Do you guys use this setting?

Also, which do you prefer? The 2D setting or the 3D setting?

Don't have a Sony unit, so can't compare directly. Haven't ever seen a TomTom that switches 2D/3D based upon whether it's on the highway, but it sound like a nice feature. I often switch back and forth to get the 2D 'big picture' vs. local view in 3D.

That is an optional setting and most likely will become the default as most are saying that this is the way they are using it.

Also, which do you prefer? The 2D setting or the 3D setting?

With Nav2 and Nav3 devices I only used 3D.
With Nav4 I personally find the 3D interface unsafe and do not use it although others report that they quite like it.
