Tomtom and hands-free BT kits - cant connect (I searched first this time)

Hi guys, I use a Motorola T305 in my car for phone calls and it would be oh so nice to get navigation directions through it as well. So i set the flat in speaker preferences to BT audio then set the T305 to pair mode, and the tomtom 920 finds it OK.

Then it never gets past the passcode screen. keeps saying the passcode is incorrect, as if it is any different than any other headset out there with a code of four zeros. It just never connects, despite being able to find it just fine.

I did find two other posts with no additional details. One said his headset wouldnt connect, the other has my exact problem.

Is this a compatibility issue?
Only some BT speakers are compatible?
Are there tricks to getting these things to connect properly/reliably?

I know you need a Hi-Fi headset to pair with the TomTom,so if the T305 isn't a stereo unit then that may be the issue.I have the Motorola H375 headset and it won't pair with the TT920 either.
