TomTom Model(s)
910
I have a more modern tomtom but love the 910 go as I find its menue structure more sophisticated, easily navigated and used, can easily install new POI by drag and drop from my PC and the maps are so detailed we used them to navigate all round europe, the US, Australia and New Zealand but alas these maps are no longer available as I would like to buy Western and Centrl Europe and others to use instead of just Western Europe on one of them

Anyway.....................
one of my tomtom 910 go (I have 5 registered) wont update the GPS Fix update I do every week or so with the others.
When I try it flashes up "unable to update due to erlier cancelled update"
Can anyone suggest how to clear this message as something is blocking the update process is it TomTom servers themselves or is it my 910 GPS machine internal log system in which case how do I clear it to allow new updates as the gps fix takes ages without this constant update

Anyone know of a WRO correction software for the 910 so I dont have to keep updating the GPS fix module. I dont hink there is as I have asked many times before but I think its down to the internal electronics chip?

Have not seen a 910 WNRO update. Can't help you there.

Suggestion for your work-around problem:

With your 910 with the issue connected to your PC, delete any content in the folder "ephem". That will clear any problematic QuickGPSFix files from your 910.
Then, clear out any downloaded ephemeris files on your PC by clearing out the content of c:\Users\{username}\Documents\TomTomUpgrade\HOME\Download\complete\ephemeris\QuickGPSFix

That should remove any hosed files, wherever they might exist, and permit a fresh install of the current ephemeris files.

I pray that someone can fix the Quick fix problem but the 910 beats spots off the later essentials which is rubbish by comparison but tomtom wont listen

How did the process outlined in post #2 work out? That assumed that it was a QuickFix download that was causing the problem. You could always rename c:\Users\{username}\Documents\TomTomUpgrade\HOME\Download to c:\Users\{username}\Documents\TomTomUpgrade\HOME\XXX or something similar to hide all of the previous download attempts from Home to see if that helps.
