tomtom 720 upgrade (to 920) issue

do you meet the same problem like me. when i upgrade my tomtom 720 last time, after restart 720, it changed to 920 and can't connect my computer any more. i can use others functions as well.

I think he's saying TT Home now thinks his 720 is a 920. I've heard this before: e.g. someone with an XL complaining that TT Home would detect & add it to his account as a GO.

There is a file at TomTom yahoo groups that supposedly upgrades the 720 to a 920 but I haven't heard of anyone who has tried it.

My update to this Post.

Don't know how it works, if it works but I know I won't be trying it for one as I don't see a need for a 920 for me anyway, at least at this time.

Maybe a post on the yahoo groups to inquire if someone has tried it will shed some light on this miracle of technology.
